Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our outdoor gear, shipping, and sustainability practices.
What is G-1000 fabric and how do I maintain it?
G-1000 is our cornerstone material, a densely woven fabric made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton. To maintain its water and wind resistance, we recommend applying Greenland Wax. This allows you to adapt the garment to different weather conditions and extend its lifespan.
How long does shipping take and what are the costs?
Standard shipping typically takes 3-5 business days within the continental US. We offer free standard shipping on orders over $150. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for an additional fee.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns of unworn, unwashed items with original tags attached within 30 days of purchase. Please note that items purchased from third-party retailers must be returned to the original place of purchase.
Does Fjällräven offer a warranty on its products?
Yes, we offer a limited lifetime warranty. We stand behind our products and will repair or replace items that have manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. This does not cover normal wear and tear or accidental damage.
Are your products sustainably made?
Sustainability is at our core. We focus on durable design, ethical sourcing of down (our Down Promise), and phasing out harmful chemicals like PFCs from our production processes to minimize our environmental footprint.
How can I tell if my Kånken backpack is authentic?
Authentic Kånken bags feature a reflective logo, high-quality Vinylon F fabric, and branded 'Wasa' buttons. To ensure you are purchasing a genuine product, we always recommend buying directly from our website or an authorized dealer.
